Bridal Shopping Experience: The Entourage

Brides make many decisions before purchasing there perfect bridal gown. The decisions start with the shopping experiences. One variable often looked over by brides is who to bring to the bridal appointments.

Here at Perfection we've seen a variety of entourages.
  • Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Cousin, Aunt, Grandma, Best Friend and anyone else to fill a limousine of excited loved ones to share the day with. It's going to be a party with all eyes on the Bride! Right?? You step out of the fitting room in a gorgeous gown and BAM, 3 people talking at once and all different opinions, someone is wondering around the store and another plugged into their phone. You're looking to your loved ones for honest opinions and approval. Now on top of deciding on a gown you also have to decide who to listen to... all at the same time. Talk about overwhelming! You'll definitely find your own voice in the crowd of your loved ones if you make it out alive.
  • Overexcited coworkers convince you to stop in at a shop - a great distraction from work and your coworkers seem to get your style and they're great to chat with! Right?? This entourage usual has 2 outcomes. You're standing in front of your coworkers feeling like a millions bucks in the most perfect gown, but something is missing... your mother or sister or grandmother. You'll make a second appointment with your family and friends but feel a little guilty that they've missed "the first time." Or you've tried on a few gowns all approved by your coworkers but none fit the bill. Heading back to work you second guess your coworkers opinions and the awkwardness begins.
  • There's no one to watch the kids... buckle them in, bring them a book and they will sit just fine. Right? You're asked a few questions about what you're looking for and all you hear is a child's moans and groans. Once everyone is settled in and you've got on a dress that you're into but not too sure. You look to your friend or sister, but they've run out to change the baby's diaper. All attention on the bride just went out the door.
  • Mom's busy with work and your siblings so heading out with a group of your friends is going be a blast. Right? It's been a great day with your girls and they've been so helpful. You've found your perfect gown and scored with the gown being on sale! Bummer is the sale ends today, your parents are paying for the gown and your mom wants to see the gown. Now what.... miss out on the experience with your family and purchase the gown or miss the sale?
Ok, so you've gotten the point by now. Taking some time to decide who comes to your bridal appointment is worth it. Your bridal gown shopping experience should be a cherished memory. The entourage you choose should understand how important this event is to you, have your best interest in mind and be able to help guide you to your perfect gown. With everyone on board you're sure to have an amazing bonding experience you'll cherish forever!

Prom 2014

Prom Market in Atlanta this year was so much fun ... and exhausting.  So many dresses, so little time.  One thing is for sure, there is a definite trend toward pastels.  However, if you are not a pastel kind of girl, no worries, there were still plenty of jewel-tones, blacks and nudes.  For our boutique, we ordered a bit of everything so our prom girls will have a wonderful variety to choose from:  flowing chiffons with crystal-beaded bodices, sleek-fitting mermaids, dresses featuring rock-star beading on net, and lace over sheer illusion.

Our first shipments are expected in November/December, so be sure to like us on Facebook to see updates and photos as the dresses start arriving.  Our designers will include Blush Prom, Mori Lee Paparazzi, Night Moves by Allure, and Flirt Prom by Maggie Sottero.

We believe your 2014 Prom Dress should be Perfection!
